Why does the display show LID?
The incorrect lid is installed for your selected cooking function, or the pressure lid is not properly installed.

To Pressure Cook, Slow Cook, Steam, or Sear/Sauté, install the pressure lid. To lock the pressure lid in place, align the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the front of the unit. Then turn the lid clockwise until it stops. There will be an audible chime when the lid is properly installed, and the top row of lights on the display screen illuminte.

As the unit pressurizes, the lid will lock as a safety measure, and it will not unlock until all pressure is released. If the red float valve on the lid is raised up, this indicates the unit is pressurized.

Make sure the unit is unplugged, then use a large towel to absorb as much water as possible. Once the cooking base is completely dry, you may use it to cook again.
