Why are the lights blinking?
This may be caused by the container not being connected properly or the unit has overheated.

Pitcher/Bowl: Make sure the pitcher/bowl lid is connected correctly by aligning the arrow on the lid with the arrow on the handle. Press down firmly on the handle until you hear a slight click to ensure it is fully engaged. Attach the pitcher/bowl so the handle is in one of the front corners of the motor base.

Single Serve Cup: Make sure the blade cover is screwed on tightly to the cup. Align the tabs on the cup with the slots on the motor base. Turn the cup firmly clockwise to lock in place; you will hear a slight click. When the cup is assembled correctly the single serve button will illuminate. If you are still experiencing difficulties remove the cup from the base and turn the cup to change the tab orientation.

The unit may be overheated. As a safety feature the motor will automatically shut off if it becomes too warm during heavy loads such as dough mixing. Unplug the unit from the wall and wait 15 minutes before using again.

Why does the blender turn on, but the blades won't spin?
It is possible that you have overfilled your vessel, carefully remove some ingredients and try again. It is also possible that the thermal protection has been activated, due to the motor overheating. Unplug the blender and wait 15 minutes before plugging back in to allow it to cool.

Why can't I turn ice into snow?
We recommend that you use ice fresh from the freezer. Do not use partially melted ice. Ice that has had time to melt a little is less effective as it becomes metled into one block.

NOTE: You must use the single serve cup or 72oz pitcher for this task. It does not work very well with the bowl.

At the end of the power cord, there will be a 4-digit number engraved on the outside of one of the metal prongs. This is the date code of your unit, which tells you the date your unit was produced.
