Experiment with the sirloin-to-chuck ratio to find your sweet spot of flavor.

Ingredients

3/4 pound beef chuck, trimmed, cut into large chunks and well-chilled,
1/4 pound beef sirloin, cut into large chunks and well-chilled,
1 1/2 teaspoons salt,
1/2 teaspoon black pepper,
4 slices cheddar cheese,
4 whole wheat hamburger buns, warmed,
4 tablespoons mayonnaise (use regular or low-fat),
4 slices ripe tomato,
4 to 8 romaine lettuce leaves,
4 slices sweet white onion

Instructions

  1. Place the Top Blades in the Pitcher and add the beef, salt and pepper. PULSE to a fine chop. Do not overprocess.
  2. Remove beef from Pitcher and lightly form into 4 patties. Do not handle the meat more than necessary.
  3. Cook patties on a hot grill to your preference, about 4 to 5 minutes per side for rare, 5 to 6 minutes per side for medium and 6 to 7 minutes per side for well-done.
  4. Turn the patties once while grilling, topping each with a slice of cheese after turning.
  5. Place the patties on warmed buns. Garnish each cheeseburger with mayonnaise, tomatoes, lettuce and onions.

A tip from the Ninja® Kitchen Team

Instead of grilling, broil burgers 6 inches from heat source for 4 to 5 minutes per side, topping with cheese after turning.
