1/4 cup apple cider vinegar,
1/4 medium white onion, peeled,
2 cloves garlic, peeled,
1 cup tomato sauce,
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed,
2 tablespoons molasses,
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice,
1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika,
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper,
1/2 teaspoon red chile powder,
1/2 teaspoon salt
- Place the ketchup, vinegar, onion and garlic into the pitcher and blend on 1 until smooth.
- Add the remaining ingredients and continue blending on 2 until the sauce is semi-smooth.
- Transfer the sauce to a medium saucepan and simmer, stirring occasionally, over low heat for 20 minutes, or until the sauce reduces by one-third.
- Cover and store in the refrigerator.
