Troubleshooting

Using the Blender

Why won't my Ninja® Kitchen System Pulse® turn on?
Check to see that the unit is plugged in. The motor might be overheated. Unplug the motor and let rest for 15 minutes before using again. Ninja® Pulse® puts the power in the palm of your hand! The unit is powered by Pulse Technology. You are in control of the power. Simply push down on the Pulse® handle of the 40-oz. lid or directly on the single-serve cup once it’s attached to the motor base. Pulse Technology provides evenly processed ingredients for optimal results every time.

40-oz. processing bowl:
Make sure the lid is attached properly and securely, with the arrow on the Pulse® paddle lined up with the arrow on the handle. Attach the bowl to the motor base lining up the handle with the lock icons and turn the handle so that it is facing directly in front of you. Line up the arrow on the handle with the arrow on the motor base.

Single-serve cup:
Make sure the blade set is screwed on securely. Line up the tabs on the cup with the notches on the motor base, and turn the cup clockwise to lock in place.

My Pulse® turns on, but why doesn't the blade rotate?
40-oz. processing bowl:
It is possible that you have overfilled your blender. Carefully remove some ingredients and try again. It is also possible that the 40-oz. bowl is improperly attached (see instructions below).

Single-serve cup:
The single-serve blade assembly is not completely screwed on. The single-serve cup is not attached to the motor correctly. Make sure the blade set is screwed on securely. Line up the tabs on the cup with the notches on the motor base, and turn the cup clockwise to lock in place.

Why won't my Ninja® Kitchen System Pulse® crush ice?
Be sure you have not used partially melted ice. It is possible that you have overfilled your Pulse®. Carefully remove some ingredients and try again.

Motor doesn't start or blades don't rotate:
Check that the plug is securely inserted into the electrical outlet.

Single-serve cup:
Check that the single-serve cup is properly seated into the motor base by lining up the tab on the single-serve cup with the notch on the motor. Turn the single-serve cup clockwise to lock into place.

40-oz. processing bowl:
Make sure the Pulse® lid is securely attached to the bowl. The arrow on the bowl handle must be lined up with the arrow on the Pulse® bar of the lid. Next, in a 4 o’clock position, attach the bowl to the motor base (align the handle with the locking icons on the motor base), then swing the handle all the way to the front so the handle is directly in front of you. The arrow on the front of the motor base should be aligned with the arrow on the handle ensuring it is locked fully in place.

Food is unevenly chopped:
Either you are chopping too much food at one time, or the pieces are not small enough. Try cutting the food into smaller pieces of even size and processing smaller amounts per batch.

Cannot achieve snow from ice:
Do not use ice that has been sitting out or has started to melt. For best results use ice straight from the freezer.

Food is chopped too fine or is too watery:
The food has been over-processed. Use brief Pulses or process for shorter time. Let blades stop completely between Pulses.
