Ginger, Bourbon and Brown Sugar Holiday Ham

Ingredients

1 bone-in, fully cooked 1/2 ham (4-5 pounds),
2 cups of apple cider,
1 3-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated,
1/4 cup bourbon,
1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Set Ninja Cooking System to OVEN 375F.
  2. Pour 2 cups of apple cider into the Ninja Cooking System pot. Score ham on all sides in a diamond pattern and place into the pot with the apple cider. Cover and cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  3. Remove ham from the pot, cover and keep warm. Reserve 1 cup of liquid from the pot and discard the rest.
  4. Stir ginger, bourbon, brown sugar and reserved liquid into the pot. Set to STOVETOP HIGH and cook, uncovered for 10 minutes until mixture is reduced and thickened. Brush ham with brown sugar mixture and serve.
