2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips,
1/4 cup butter,
4 large eggs,
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract,
1/2 teaspoon salt,
1 cup all-purpose flour,
1 cup dark chocolate chips,
1/2 cup walnuts,
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips


  1. Place the 2 cups chocolate chips and the butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl and heat for 1 minute. Stir and microwave again for 1 minute. Stir and repeat until the chips are melted and the mixture is smooth. Spoon the chocolate and butter into the bowl.
  2. Add the eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt and flour. Blend on 1 until smooth, cleaning the sides of the bowl with a spatula, if needed. Remove the batter from the blender and add the dark chocolate chips to the batter. Stir to mix well.
  3. Spoon the muffin batter into muffin cups that have been prepared with cupcake or foil liners.
  4. Place the walnuts and remaining chocolate chips into the bowl. Blend on 1 until uniformly chopped. Sprinkle the chopped nut and chocolate mixture over the top of each muffin.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes, or until baked through. Cool on a wire rack.
