Are the attachments interchangeable? No, the attachments are not interchangeable.

What is the blade assembly used for? The 6-blade assembly is to be used in the 72oz and the 4-blade is to be used in the 40oz bowl for ice crushing, blending, pureeing, chopping and controlled processing.

What is the dough hook attachment used for? The dough hook is to be used in the 40oz bowl for various doughs, such as pizza, pretzel, biscuits, and breads.
